What stays
According to Notion's official shutdown guidance:
- your existing email history remains in Gmail;
- existing synced email databases and views remain accessible in Notion;
- other Notion products and your workspace continue to work.
What stops
The Notion Mail inbox will no longer be available after the shutdown. Existing synced email databases will stop receiving new messages, and reminders or custom inbox-view behavior will not transfer automatically.
What to save before September 22
Notion recommends saving or exporting Notion Mail-only data by September 21, 2026. That can include drafts, scheduled emails, snippets, and auto-label instructions. Files attached to snippets need to be downloaded separately.
Follow Notion's official instructions first. A forwarding tool cannot recover data that only existed inside the discontinued product.
What Mailsink can replace
